St. Simons Island beaches are within walking distance. Starting at the pier, St. Simons Island beaches stretch all the way down to the old Georgia Coast Guard station and beyond. You can walk, bike, fly fish, sunbathe or jog on the expansive beaches. An early riser might catch a glimpse of dolphins that often frequent the bay. A relaxing walk on the beach at sunset is a must.

St. Simons Island's many fine shops are within walking distance of The Village Inn & Pub. The village offers everything you will need to enjoy your visit. Popular evening entertainment at our many fun nightspots, fine restaurants, trolley tours of the Island and dozens of shopping delights will make your visit even more memorable. Bicycle and kayak rentals are abundant and will add to the enjoyment of our uniquely beautiful island and its surrounds.

Fort Frederica National Park: Established in 1736, the town of Frederica was the southernmost post of the British colonies in North America. It protected the rest of Georgia and South Carolina from the Spanish in Florida. The park is known for it's exceptional beauty. Stately oaks, exceptionally large grape vines, and Spanish moss lend an air of antiquity unequaled on the coast.

Christ Church at Frederica: In 1808 a state charter created Christ Church at Frederica. A church building was finished in 1820 on the land that is still occupied by Christ Church. The War between-the-States would leave that church in ruins. The plantation house at Black Banks was used for a time after the war as a Sunday meeting place for the Christ Church Parish. The church is still operating today.
